A Voteless People is A Hopeless People
October 11, 2018
The Alpha Zeta Lambda chapter is approaching our national program, A Voteless People is A Hopeless People, in three phases. Our first phase centered around voter registration and absentee ballot requests. Diamond Cuts Barber Shop was gracious enough to partner with this portion by providing $10 off coupon vouchers for haircuts for those that registered to vote or submitted an absentee ballot request.

Project Alpha
The Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. are charged to talk face-to-face with young men ages 12-15 years on issues of responsibility, relationships, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Brothers provide the young men with current and accurate information about teen pregnancy prevention. Nationally, this program has been done in collaboration with the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation since 1980.

Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College
Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College challenges brothers partner with local middle/high schools to engage selected young men in critical conversations about secondary school completion and the importance of post secondary enrollment. Given the wide variety of educational and professional advancement of our Alpha brothers, the young men are afforded a unique networking opportunity to gain motivation, inspiration and knowledge about the collegiate experience to come!

"Bowling for Babies"
May 05, 2018
Members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. along with several other Historically Black Greek Letter Organizations (National Pan-Hellenic Council-NPHC) will get together and bowl for babies. The March of Dimes organization raises money year around to aid moms in having full term pregnancies and healthy babies and by conducting research on the problems that threaten the lives of babies who are born prematurely in order to prevent them.
